The
Great Bible Adventure consists of 24 sessions beautifully laid
out for individual or group study. The study can be at the
pace of the participants. There may be a facilitator to
help the group through the study. Books and DVDs are
available as study guides as well as answers to through
provoking questions.
Goals
of the ministry:
 The
Bible is Divine Revelation--authored by God and written by the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
The
Bible has Divine Power--imparts knowledge while illuminating the
mind and spirit.
The
Bible was written in the Heart of the Church--God has given the
Church the authority to guard and interpret the Scriptures
through the Holy Spirit.
The
Bible has many "layers"--there are different writing
styles.
The
Bible is about Christ--everything in the Old Testament points
forward to the coming and work of Jesus Christ while the New
Testament is the fulfillment of the Old.
The
Bible is about a covenant family--welcomes all who come into
God's family, the Church
Purpose
of this ministry:
To
identify the "narrative books" of the Bible
To
divide salvation history into 24 periods for a flowing study
To
explain how God's plan unfolds through the Old & New
Testaments
To
give sequential memory aids for recalling the time periods
To
give a plan for reading through the 14 books on your own or with
a group
To
love God is to know Him better...to know Him better...
study and pray through the Sacred Scriptures.
