Follow Jesus on a Life-changing Adventure

 Monday, June 25th – Friday, June 29th, 2012

8:45AM – 12:15PM

Hello Parents, Guardians, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, Relatives &/or Friends!!

The Vacation Bible School Team thanks you for allowing your child(ren) to join us this year.

T-Shirts:  We ask that each child bring a white T-shirt. Make sure your child or children’s names are on the collar of the inside of the shirt.  If you want you may drop it off at the church office so that the shirt can have the transfer ironed on and ready for your child’s use the first day.  Otherwise on that beginning day, we will iron on the transfers and have them on your child before the day is over.

Water Bottles  - We are asking that each child bring their own water bottle to use.  Their name can be put on the bottle for refill for the week, or you can bring a fresh water bottle each day, your choice.

Empty Paper Towel Rolls – Each child will need to bring in an empty paper towel roll as they will need it for a craft they will be making one day.

Music: Each child will be given a CD along with the words when you bring in your registration form.  If you mail in the form, please call to make arrangements to pick up the material.  If you e-mailed your registration form, again we will make arrangements for you to pick up a CD before school lets out for the summer.  We ask that you & your child listen to the CD ahead of time so that the child will become familiar with, or know, the songs when they arrive.  As in the past, motions will be taught to correspond with the music & words.

On Friday we will have a closing Prayer Service and we would like to include you!  We will celebrate at 12:00 P.M. singing the songs the children have learned.  Afterwards we will have a picnic lunch that will be prepared for those of you on a tight schedule.  We will serve hot dogs, veggies, fruit, chips, drink & treats.  Please let us know on Thursday morning if you will be able to join us for the closing and the lunch and how many in your group.

We ask that those children who are:

Butterflies - (red) a treat such as brownies, rice krispies or cookies or chips

Frogs - (yellow) bring 1 package of hotdogs & 1 package of buns

Jaguars - (green) Vegetables or Fruit

Monkeys – (blue) bring 1 package of hotdogs & 1 package of buns

Please drop off your item when your child arrives for VBS on Friday morning.

And finally, we began this “ministry” with the help of several sponsors SEVEN years ago.  We are now off and running on our own and we must be self-sustaining if we are to continue on for years to come.  To help support this experience we ask that you consider a financial donation. We have your child(ren) for over 17.5 hours during the week, think what this would cost in hiring a babysitter or daycare would be – then ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in your giving.  If you are not able to give at this time, please keep us in your prayers for future Vacation Bible School sessions.

Again, it has been a wonderful experience to be with your children and we hope that they too are having a wonderful time learning about God’s love.

Sincerely,
